In the Turkestan region, 100 million tenge was planned for a short video about the history of Kazakhstan. A cultural institution entered into a direct contract with the contractor, without a competitive bidding process.
According to the contract terms, the video must be between 3 and 7 minutes long. After this information became public, the regional akim, N. Kusherov, ordered an investigation into this public procurement.
