Following negotiations with Donald Trump, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan signed up for joint projects with the US. Moreover, the amount of Uzbekistan’s commitment appears outlandish – $100 billion. For Kazakhstan, the figure is more realistic: $17 billion.
It should be noted that this does not refer to US investments, but rather to the acquisition of American products and services by Central Asian countries.
Where will Uzbekistan get this colossal sum? Gulnara Bazhkenova, editor-in-chief of ORDA media, suggests in her investigation that such a sum could very well be invested by Alisher Usmanov, a Russian oligarch of Uzbek origin. His goal is to evade sanctions and launder his capital.
