China solved its poverty problem within a few decades. Since the 1970s, during the time of Deng Xiaoping, the Chinese government has worked purposefully on this issue. And in 2021, Chinese President Xi Jinping officially declared that poverty in the country had been eradicated.
Many countries are implementing specific, long-term programs with concrete results. Another example is the successful anti-corruption program in Georgia, which produced tangible results during the presidency of Mikheil Saakashvili.
Political scientist Dosym Satpayev believes that Kazakhstan’s problem is the lack of long-term programs that demonstrate real and visible results.
